Indication:
Management of dyslipidaemia including primary hypercholesterolaemia (heterozygous familial and non-familial), homozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia, mixed dyslipidaemia, and hypertriglyceridaemia. Also indicated for primary prevention of cardiovascular events in high-risk patients.
Dosage & Administration:
Adults: Initially 5–10 mg once daily, may be increased at intervals of at least 4 weeks up to 20 mg once daily. The 40 mg dose is reserved for patients not reaching LDL-C goal with 20 mg under specialist supervision. May be taken with or without food at any time of day. Elderly: initially 5 mg once daily.
Children: For heterozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia (10–17 years): 5–20 mg/day; maximum 20 mg/day. For homozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia (7–17 years): 20 mg/day. Dose to be adjusted at intervals of at least 4 weeks.
Special populations or regimens: In severe renal impairment (CrCl <30 mL/min, not on haemodialysis): starting dose 5 mg, not to exceed 10 mg daily. In Asian patients, initiate with 5 mg once daily. Regular monitoring of lipid profile and liver function is advised.

Rosuvastatin 10 Tablet: Box containing 50 tablets in Alu-Alu blister pack.
Rosuvastatin 20 Tablet: Box containing 20 tablets in Alu-Alu blister pack.
