Indication:
Management of essential hypertension, angina pectoris coexisting with hypertension, post-myocardial infarction, and refractory angina pectoris where nitrate therapy has failed. For use where combination of amlodipine and atenolol is appropriate.
Dosage & Administration:
Adults: One tablet once daily. If necessary, the dosage may be increased to two tablets daily as directed by the physician. Dosage should be individualised.
Children: Safety and efficacy in children have not been established.
Special populations or regimens: Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic impairment (due to prolonged elimination of amlodipine) or renal impairment with creatinine clearance less than 30 mL/min (due to reduced excretion of atenolol). Use with caution in patients with airway obstruction. Do not discontinue abruptly — dose should be gradually tapered.
