Indication:
Infections caused by susceptible organisms including lower respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia, upper respiratory tract infections including sinusitis, urinary tract infections, gastrointestinal infections including infectious diarrhea and typhoid fever, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, sexually transmitted diseases including gonorrhea, and inhalation anthrax (post-exposure).
Dosage & Administration:
Adults: 250–750 mg twice daily depending on the severity and type of infection.
Children: 10 mg/kg to 20 mg/kg body weight twice daily (maximum 750 mg per dose) for 10 to 21 days.
Special populations or regimens: In typhoid fever and severe infections, higher doses may be required as directed by the physician. In uncomplicated gonorrhea, a single dose may be used as directed by the physician. Dose adjustment may be required in patients with renal impairment.
Dose and duration should be determined by the registered physician.
The pellets should be reconstituted with the prescribed amount of water before use and shaken well before each administration.
Preparation / Packaging:
Ciprobion 60 ml Pellets for Suspension: Each box contains two bottles, one large HDPE bottle containing pellets and one small PET bottle containing diluent for preparing 60 ml suspension.
