Indication:
Treatment of gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, duodenal and gastric ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, risk reduction of NSAID-associated gastric ulcers, and as part of combination therapy for eradication of H. pylori infection.
Dosage & Administration:
Adults: 20–40 mg once daily, taken at least 30 minutes before meals. In H. pylori eradication: 40 mg once daily in combination with appropriate antibiotics as directed by the physician. Tablets should be swallowed whole and must not be crushed or chewed.
Children: Dose should be determined by the physician according to age and body weight.
Special populations or regimens: Dose adjustment may be required in patients with hepatic impairment.
Special populations or regimens: In severe hepatic impairment, dose should not exceed 20 mg daily. No adjustment required for mild to moderate hepatic impairment.
Dose and duration should be determined by the registered physician.
