Indication:
Short-term management of insomnia and sleep disturbances including difficulty in falling asleep, frequent nocturnal awakenings, and early morning awakening. It is also indicated for the management of myoclonic seizures.
Dosage & Administration:
Adults: Usually 5 mg at bedtime. If necessary, the dose may be increased up to 10 mg at bedtime depending on the patient’s response.
Children: Safety and efficacy in children have not been established.
Special populations or regimens: In elderly or debilitated patients, the recommended starting dose is 2.5 mg at bedtime and should be adjusted carefully as directed by the physician.
Dose and duration should be determined by the registered physician.
